If you are someone you know are interested in working for us here at Coryell, we are looking for Behavior Technicians as well as Direct Care staff to fulfill some overnight shifts for our clients.
Position: Behavior Technician
The direct service staff provides support and care for client’s in a 24 hour, 7 days a week program. Direct service staff work with clients to reach their optimal level of independence and participation in home and community life, and implements supports that are evidence-based to teach skills required in the home and community environment (ex: modeling, prompting, shaping, natural environment teaching, visual supports, and task analysis). Direct Service staff support the client promoting their full participation in their community, encouraging an active role in socialization, continuing to build skills that promote a consumer’s social network and positive interaction within their community.
Primary Responsibilities
-Work one-to-one with clients in a variety of settings.
-Assist clients in skill development and behavior support in a variety of settings.
-Implement the client’s Individual Program Plan, Behavior Intervention Plan.
-Collaborate with team in staff meetings and consultations with a Senior Behavior Analyst.
-Implement program procedures and data collection established by the Senior Behavior Analyst.
Skills and Knowledge
*Ability to motivate clients to engage in activities, and social opportunities in their community.
*Ability to implement the client’s motivational plan in a variety of settings. *Ability to positively connect with family members, employers, and community agencies.
About the Position *Part-time schedule, 20-30 hours per week. Crisis Intervention and job training provided. *Pay: commensurate with experience; sick leave benefits, cell phone and mileage reimbursement. *Live Scan and TB clearance required.

Position: Supported Living Services – Direct Services Staff
Coryell Autism Center SLS is dedicated to helping adults with developmental disabilities improve the quality of their lives, by providing safe and respectful support. We strive to empower individuals to develop their lives to the fullest and build meaningful relationships in Santa Cruz County.
We are looking for a part-time team member to support our overnight shifts with our SLS clients in their homes. Shifts are generally from 7p-8:30a.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Direct Services: Provide Support for the client in their home. Direct services staff provide support clients to reach their optimal level of independence and participation in their home life. Staff implement supports that are evidence-based to teach skills required in the home .
*Preparation of meals: Planning meals; removing food from the refrigerator or pantry; washing/drying hands before meal preparation; washing, peeling, and slicing vegetables; opening packages, cans, and bags; measuring and mixing ingredients; lifting pots and pans; trimming meat; reheating food; cooking and safely operating the stove; food portioning; setting the table, serving the meals; and cutting the food into bite-sized pieces.
*Laundry/Household Maintenance: Washing and drying laundry, mending, ironing, folding, and storing clothes in closets, on shelves or in drawers.
*Shopping/errands: shopping/errands includes making a shopping list, travel to/from the store, shopping, loading, unloading and storing supplies purchased, performing reasonable errands such as picking up a prescription, filling water bottles.
Skills and knowledge
*Experience working with teens or adults with autism; ABA experience a plus.
*Should be flexible, calm, and have a low-stress demeanor.
*Must be a good match with the client, have similar interests, ie: Bike riding, movies, bowling
*Clean driving record , LiveScan and TB Clearance required
*Able to receive detailed information through oral communication
*Have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means. About the Position
