About Us

We are committed to improving the long-term well-being of individuals with autism, families and caregivers. We promote acceptance and awareness of individuals, as well as the challenges facing adults with autism and their families.

History

Established in 2009, Coryell Autism Center is a private, nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing support services, resources and information to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. CAC was established through the generosity of Coryell Family Foundation, after they became aware of the limited resources available to families.

Care Philosophy

Coryell aims to improve the lives of individuals, as well as families living with an autism diagnosis. We also work hard to train compassionate and dedicated staff. We provide a resource center for information, networking and advocacy support. In addition, we offer supervised peer mentoring and social skills programs for adults and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as an academic major and minor curriculum. Finally, we can provide hands-on training opportunities for those interested in working in the field of ASD.

Location and Facilities

Located in bustling downtown Santa Cruz, Coryell Autism Center features classrooms and training spaces, meeting rooms, and administrative offices. The building is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, as well as secluded quiet areas, creating a safe environment for both hypoactive and hyperactive attendees. In addition, the neighborhood is filled with opportunities for clients to get involved in their community, as there are many volunteer and employment opportunities walking distance from the Center.
