Welcome To Coryell Autism Center
Coryell Autism Center is a nonpublic school (NPS) providing specially-designed educational services to young people with autism ages 14 to 22. The Center is located in Santa Cruz, California.
Welcome to our new Program Director, Hayley Garr
Hayley joins our staff after working with students with autism of all ages since 2001. She has worked in both public and private schools with children from ages 4 to 22 years of age and has experience as a classroom teacher, education coordinator, and on site administrator. She spent the last 3 ½ years working for a Nonpublic School in San Francisco focusing on transition age life skills for students with severe behavioral challenges. The transition age group has become her passion as she feels strongly that teaching life skills and fostering independence are essential so students may transition smoothly into the community. Hayley has a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science and Masters of Science in Moderate/Severe Special Education, as well as a California Education Specialist Instruction Credential from National University. She is currently obtaining a BCBA from the University of West Florida.
